Dance I Said
If we learn to dance,
and we craft our own steps,
to enable and to be enabled,
the lines will blur between your space and mine.
Dance, I said.
If we start with a slow song,
and let each other take the lead,
my strengths becomes yours
and yours become mine.
Our weaknesses left in our steps wake.
Dance, I said.
If we step on toes and our rhythm slows,
we can always stop,
and cast a beat to our own drum.
If we practice our synchronicity
others join us on the floor.
Chairs left empty around the world.
Dance I said.
